I'm looking forward to the reunion coming up next month. Just so happens that I live in MD so the trip is a short one. I love looking at all the photos that everyone is posted. It also makes me a little sad. We left K-Town just after our Sophmore year. I settled in to a new school in the Fall of 86 swearing that as soon as I was old enough I was heading back to K-Town....my real home (still where my heart is). 20 something years later and I still haven't been back. Not for lack of desire though. So many of the faces are familiar in these photos but why shouldn't they be? I was there in 6th grade, through KAJHS and my first 2 years of high school.
So, I'm looking forward to the reunion to see some faces of friends from what seems like another life. I have kept in touch with other Raiders but none of them will be attending the reunion.
Of the K-Town items I still have (to name a few) are my letter jacket, a red megaphone, class ring, newsletters (from high school as well as Jr. High. Remember dedicating songs in the newsletter to your friends?), a Tilly's Taco sticker, a few autograph and slam books. I loved looking back at those things and remembering.... Now I have kids of my own. When did I become the "adult"?
